I have been with Saskatoon Media Group for over 13 years and have enjoyed the journey it has taken me on. I sometimes say I grew up working in radio because I have learned & matured so much since I started working in media sales but I was actually raised on a farm near Cudworth, Saskatchewan. I later went on to get my Bachelor of Commerce at the U of S with a major in marketing.

Each day I try to keep my clients on top of their marketing so they can focus on serving their customers and selling their products & services. The success of our customers is what it is all about after all! I also love learning about new businesses and seeing my clients grow. I have seen the power of radio and am confident with the right ad campaign and the right message you will have success!

When I’m not working, I’m a mom of two busy kids and am married to my high school sweetheart. We spend lots of time with friends & family and summers at Wakaw Lake. I am so lucky to have a job that offers me some flexibility to be able to balance family & work time. I look forward to working with you!

Since then over the past fifteen years I have enjoyed putting together marketing strategies for hundreds of different organizations throughout Saskatchewan.

With literally thousands of companies actively marketing on a daily basis my experience has taught me the importance of being creative and finding campaigns that help you stand out from the crowd. The best part of my job is the different people that I have met and the relationships that I have developed, Saskatchewan truly is filled with great people.

Currently, my wife Jennifer and I live in Shields, SK and with our children Linden and Kate we are enjoying every aspect of lake life daily; nature walks, swimming, fishing, hiking, driving the ATV, socializing with neighbors, it really is a great place to be. Other things I enjoy in my spare time are hunting, playing sports, exercising, runs by the river, coaching and chasing the kids around. Being a Dad, watching my kids grow and develop is even more rewarding than I ever could have imagined.

After graduating I worked for a few different companies, one of which was doing the marketing and advertising for an international trucking company.

Having experience on the other side of the table regarding marketing allows me to look at advertising from your perspective. Advertising has to make sense and positively influence your company’s image and bottom line.

When I am not working I am having fun with my two munchkins. I am married with a 10-year-old girl and an eight-year-old son. To say that life is busy and exciting is an understatement. In my spare time, I enjoy working out, fitness is extremely important to me. I also enjoy coaching my kids in sports and spending playtime with them.

I believe in having fun and working hard, this is something that I teach my kids and this is also how I approach working with clients as a sales representative with CJWW.

The radio bug has always been a part of my life. I got hooked on being on air at my high school radio station in Calgary spinning discs and reading news over the lunch hour.

I was never shy about meeting people at an early age, selling bricks of cheese door to door for the Calgary Youth Orchestra and running a business through Junior Achievement. Following High School I enjoyed retail experience working for Simpson Sears in their sporting goods department, in a cutting tool business and a packing plant but radio once again called to me. Spending the next two years at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) earning an Applied Art Diploma in Television, Stage and Radio Arts. I trained as a reporter, weatherman and anchor, with background in news/commercial writing and television and radio production. As with any on air career you move around. My journey included Stations in Swift Current, Red Deer and Saskatoon. During that time my radio career included coverage of many events including reporting during the Colin Thatcher trial, interviewing the coolest Disc Jockey of all time, “Wolfman Jack“ and Prime Minister Brian Mulroney. From there my media path lead to radio promotions and then into media sales for the past 33 years. My Wife Linda and I have raised our three children here in Saskatoon. I have been an active part of our community with coaching our kids sporting activities, as a leader with Scouts Canada, and as an active member of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons and WaWa Shriners. Being in radio has always allowed me to partner with my customers bringing them great creative ideas and promotional opportunities. As an advertising consultant I am extremely proud that I can connect my customers with our Listeners.
